Our annual VIP Reception is an evening of celebration, acknowledgment and fun. This event brings together individuals from government, industry and nonprofit organizations, and private citizens – representatives of the diverse elements of the environmental community.

The event starts at 6:00 pm with a Buffet Dinner and Silent Auction.

The Awards Program begins at 8:00pm. Awards to be presented include:

  • Pam Slater-Price Sustainability Award, presented by County Supervisor Pam Slater-Price
  • Clean Air Award from the Air Pollution Control District presented by Supervisor Pam Slater-Price
  • San Diego EarthWorks’ “E.A.R.T.H.” (Environmental And Restoration That Helps) Awards, presented by Councilmember Donna Frye.

If you would like to donate to our Silent Auction or World Buffet, you can register your donation on-line by clicking here, or call our office at (858) 272-7370.

If you would like to be a sponsor or advertise in our program, click here for more information.

Sponsors of this year’s V.I.P. Reception include San Diego County Supervisor Pam Slater-Price, San Diego County Air Pollution Control District, The City of San Diego Department of Environmental Services, Solar Turbines, SDG&E, Black Mountain Ranch/Del Sur and General Lock.

Each year, EarthWorks recognizes businesss, clubs, organizations and/or individuals that deserves special recognition for their work on behalf of a clean, healthy environment. All too often, these organizations' and individuals' efforts go unrecognized and unacknowledged. Attend the V.I.P. Reception and help us acknowledge these extraordinary efforts.

EarthFair Volunteer Awards

San Diego EarthWorks’ annual EarthFair in Balboa Park is the largest free environmental fair and Earth Day celebration in the world. Significantly, the event is produced by around 400 volunteers.

This large group of volunteers, many of whom are volunteering for the first time, is managed by a cadre of about 30 team leaders. Many of these team leaders come back year after year to produce this landmark event.

We take this opportunity to honor the team leaders who have volunteered for 5, 10, 15 and 20 years.
